PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize destruction of recorded images even when a user turns off a power switch by mistake during image recording or a problem like battery exhaustion occurs. SOLUTION: (1) When data are being recorded in a recording medium of a recording part 104 during imaging, even if a power switch 106 is turned off, the power of the device is not cut off until a predetermined completion operation ends. (2) When the remaining quantity of records in the recording medium becomes lower than the predetermined value during imaging, imaging is automatically stopped and the predetermined recording completion operation is performed. (3) When the power is cut off by mistake during imaging (recording) and recording operation is stopped without performing the predetermined recording completion operation, a predetermined operation for file recovery is performed, and at least data before cutting off the power 107 are made to be available as effective data.
