PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition which demonstrates capability excellent in storage modulus and loss coefficient without spoiling workability. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises 100 mass parts of a rubber component (A) which consists of at least one rubber of a natural rubber and a synthetic diene rubber, and incorporated therewith, 5-60 mass parts of an aromatic vinyl compound-diene compound copolymer (B) having a weight average molecular weight (in terms of polystyrene by gel permeation chromatography) of 5,000-300,000, wherein the above copolymer (B) comprises 5-80 mass% of an aromatic vinyl compound, and the amount of vinyl bondings of moieties of the diene compound is 10-80 mass%.
