PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which has a function for shielding an arbitrary region from among a plurality of regions in a display window, and has an amusement enhanced by the shielding function. SOLUTION: This game machine 1 is equipped with a stop controlling means, a shield determining means, and a shielding means. The stop controlling means stops the variable display of a train of patterns corresponding to the stop operating means when a stop operating means is operated. The shield determining means which determines either one of "whether patterns are made invisible by shielding the display region or not" or "the display region for which patterns are made invisible by shielding from among display regions" based on specified determination information when the stop operating means is operated.
