Described is a cost effective prefabricated wall structure, which is characterized in that it comprises a grid-shaped inner metal structure and a solid cardboard body formed by cardboard strips, said body being fastened around the inner metal structure. The invention further comprises two outer cardboard covers, previously treated with fire resistant agents, and means for attaching panels therebetween. The panel cardboard strips act as a noise and thermal natural insulator, thereby reducing the energy consumption for the refrigeration and heat in constructions where the aforesaid invention is applied.
