PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic actuator capable of detecting the charging amount of an erectret film, and to provide a camera utilizing such an electrostatic actuator. SOLUTION: A part of a drive electrode for driving a mover composed of an erectret film is connected independently as a detection electrode 6.
