PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a plurality of units each comprising a detection sector for detecting a received physical quantity and an accumulation section for accumulating information on the detected physical quantity. SOLUTION: Each of pixels 32 disposed in the shape of matrix is arranged with a photo-electric transduction accumulation section 33 and a driving transistor 35 therefor, and a row is selected by a row selection transistor 36 and a selected row driving transistor 40 of a selected row driving section 38 of which the conduction is controlled thereby. A column direction is selected by a column selection shift transistor 50 while selectively controlling the conduction of a load transistor 44 comprising a source follower circuit as a buffer together with the driving transistor 35. The selected row driving transistor 40 is then connected to a selected row driving voltage input section 39, and a power supply voltage (Vdd) is selectively supplied to the row of the pixels 32, thereby performing row selection.
