PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of sensor data transmission using a portable telephone set with which a portable sensor (checker, measuring instrument) is connected to each of a number of various kinds of portable telephone sets on the market at present, and data measured by the sensor can be transmitted by simple key operation to a remote control center. SOLUTION: In the method of sensor data transmission between a portable telephone set connected with the sensor and the control center capable of exchanging electronic mail with the portable telephone set, electronic mail is transmitted from the communication center to the portable telephone set, the electronic mail is received by the portable telephone set, and data are measured by the sensor connected to the portable telephone set that receives the electronic mail. The data measured by the sensor are then transferred to the portable telephone set to which the sensor is connected, and attached to reply mail for the electronic mail, and the reply mail to which the measured data are attached, is transmitted to the control center by the portable telephone set.
