PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an office layout supporting apparatus with high performance by which an office layout is easily examined without relying on the skill of an examiner, and the request of a user is sufficiently satisfied. SOLUTION: The apparatus examines the office layout by function space element units which constitute an office space and have a prescribed function. The apparatus comprises: a plurality of icons for embodying the function of a function space element; an aspect example storage means for storing aspect examples to present the concrete aspects of the function space elements which respectively correspond to the icons; and an aspect example retrieving means for retrieving the aspect example stored in the aspect example storage means, based on the icon.
