PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium capable of precisely specifying a cell center and accurately reproducing information recorded by inserting a synchronization signal pattern so as to insert additional information. SOLUTION: Recording marks varied in detection signal level according to multivalued data are formed in cells virtually divided at equal intervals on an optical information recording medium, a synchronization signal pattern 21 for extracting a synchronization signal used for demodulating the multivalued data is cyclically inserted into a data area, and the synchronous signal pattern 21 is coded by amplitude modulation so as to obtain a reproducing signal waveform to specify the cell center.
