PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce movement of line of sights of a driver required for operating an on-vehicle equipment. SOLUTION: In this operating device for a vehicle, an operation carried out at an upper position of a driver's seat 4 (an operation that a driver D raises his/her hands on his/her head) is detected in a non-contact manner, and a map lamp 30 or a sun visor 31 as a vehicle-mounted equipment is controlled on the basis of this operation. Therefore, compared to the operation for directly contacting an operation switch and the like, the eye movement of the driver D can be reduced.
