PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus equipped with a fixing device having high productivity, high durable performance and high stability in image quality. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, the fixing device has a fixing roller which abuts on an unfixed image, a heating belt which abuts on the fixing roller and heats the fixing roller, a heat source which heats the heating belt and a pressing member which presses a part of the abutting area of the heating belt which abuts on the fixing roller.
