The device (1) for the drying of extruded running cables (2) has at least three centrifugal discs (8a-8e) installed inside the device one behind the other and with circumferential zones (9) which are enwrapped by the cable over a section angle of less than 360 degrees. The running planes of the centrifugal discs are at right angles to one another in such a way that between the inlet side disc and outlet side disc all the circumferential regions of the cable on the section angles of the centrifugal discs are at least once radially outwards contact free in relation to the enwrapped circumferential zones of the centrifugal zones.
