<p>The present invention relates to a method of and an apparatus for suspending heat exchange tubes (12) of a steam boiler. In the method in accordance with the present invention, a metal connecting piece (22) is provided for heat exchange tubes, said connecting piece comprising a channel portion (24) and a plate-like upper part (28), and a flow channel (32) is formed, preferably by drilling, to the channel portion (24). Substantially parallel heat exchange tubes (12) are connected to the downwards directed openings (30) at the ends of the flow channel and the heat exchange tubes (12) are suspended of the plate-like upper part (28) of the connecting piece (22).</p> |
