ANTITUMOR REMEDY

It is intended to provide an antitumor remedy which has a regulated apoptotic effect on normal cells and an enhanced antitumor effect. A specific antitumor drug, in particular, an antitumor drug having an apoptotic effect is combined with a component originating in scutellaria root. When used alone, the antitumor drug having an apoptotic effect exerts a side effect on normal cells. When the antitumor drug is used together with the component originating in scutellaria root, in contrast, the apoptotic effect on normal cells is relieved while the apoptotic effect of the drug on tumor cells can be sustained or enhanced, thereby exhibiting an excellent antitumor effect.
