<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a hydrogen generation apparatus small in size, simple in structure and reduced in thermal energy loss. <P>SOLUTION: A catalyst 2 is heated by supplying a combustion gas to a specified reactor 1 in a plurality of reactors 1, 11 and utilizing heat generated by the combustion reaction. Then, a fuel containing an organic halide is fed to the heated reactor 1. The fed fuel is brought into dehydrogenation reaction on the catalyst 2 and hydrogen is formed. The products (hydrogen or dehydrogenated substances of the fuel) obtained by the dehydrogenation reaction is used as a combustion gas and fed to the other reactor 11 so as to heat the other reactor 11. Thus, hydrogen is sequentially formed in the plurality of reactors 1, 11 by sequentially switching the feeding destination of the combustion gas and the feeding destination of the fuel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
