<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-based black ink composition usable for inkjet recording or writing utensil, giving a printed letter having a neutral deep black color and an image having excellent ozone gas resistance and light fastness and exhibiting good storage stability as a recording liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based black ink composition contains essentially one kind of black dye compound or its salt as a black colorant and a dye compound expressed by formula (1) or its salt as a red-toning component of the black ink composition. In formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each independently H, a 1-4C alkyl or a 1-4C alkoxyl; (m) and (n) are each independently 0, 1 or 2; and X is a 1-3C alkanolamino group or morpholino group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
