PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate communication in a natural way.

SOLUTION: A personal image of a user #1 is taken by pixels for constituting an I/O display 1. After predetermined image processing has applied to the taken personal image, the personal image is transmitted to a display unit 2 in which the personal image taken in the I/O display 1 is displayed in a region corresponding to each position to obtain a stereophonic image of the user #1. Contrary, a personal image of a user #2 taken by pixels constituting an I/O display 2 is transmitted to the I/O display 1 displayed on a position corresponding to the personal image, thus obtaining a stereophonic image of the user #2. The present invention is applicable to a display unit in whose pixels transistors or EL elements are provided that generate leak currents by the irradiation of external light.
