PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device supporting system consisting of a portable electronic device excellent in mountability such as a digital camera and a cradle device for supporting the electronic device. SOLUTION: The digital camera 2 consists of a planar camera main body 3 provided with an LCD 8, a charging battery, a memory and a control circuit and the like, and a circular hook portion 4 projecting from the camera main body 3 to the surrounding. Since the cradle device 12 is provided with a projecting portion 14 capable of hanging the hook portion 4 on a cradle main body 13, the digital camera 12 is suspended on the cradle device 2 attached on the wall. The cradle device 12 charges the digital camera 2 in this state, and bidirectionally communicates data such as image data to/from the digital camera 2.
