PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information apparatus remote control system which improves the convenience of users at the time of remote control by making a specific information apparatus be remotely controlled by another information apparatus through a network. SOLUTION: The information apparatus remote control system 1 has the information apparatus 3 of an operated side and the information apparatus 2 of an operating side. The information apparatus 3 of the operated side comprises; a view information storage part 20 wherein view information about a view area associated with a window is stored; a picture information processing part 18 which generates an image to be displayed as an initial state on an operating-side display part 2a in accordance with view information; a communication part 17; and a control information processing part 21 for operating applications. The information apparatus of the operating side comprises; a communication part 12, a view area storage part 16 wherein view information is stored; a picture information processing part 13 which displays images in a plurality of display areas in order of display levels in accordance with the view information; and a control information processing part 11 which transmits operation information of applications to the information apparatus 3 of the operated side.
