PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar heating element allowing lead wire connection by solder even for an electrode using a material unconnectable with solder, having a large allowable current and having terminal connection with excellent reliability. SOLUTION: After electrodes 13, terminal members 17 and a polymer resistor 14 are covered with a coating material 16 with an electric insulating base material 12 tightly fitted, heat is applied to power feed parts of the electrode 13 to which the terminal members 17 are stuck from the upper side of the coating material 16 to remove the coating material 16 and the electric insulating base material 12 by a removal means 18. Then, the terminal members 17 are surface-jointed to the power feed parts of the electrodes 13 and lead wires 19 are connected to the terminal members 17.
