PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorber which is lightweight and high in degree of freedom of a shape, easily incorporated into equipment made small-sized and thin, and free of a great decrease in sound absorption efficiency even in a lower-register range. SOLUTION: This sound absorbing structure is constituted by charging a sound absorber 8A having sound absorption effect directly or indirectly using viscous resistance of gas in a gas barrier enclosure 1 filled with highly viscous gas having higher viscosity than air, at least a portion of a wall surface of the gas barrier enclosure can flexibly be deformed or moved.
