PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-scale planar image display device capable of displaying a configuration. SOLUTION: In the planar image display device 101 in which a plurality of unit planar display elements are arranged, as to the unit planar display element 102A, at least part of the cells constituting the outermost peripheral pixels 104A is smaller in size compared with internal pixels 106, and a pitch P2 of the pixels in the outermost peripheral part on the basis of the external peripheral face of the unit planar display element is equal to a pixel pitch P1 of the internal pixels except the pixels in the outermost peripheral part.
