PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller for karaoke that enables searching music, by the same method as that for a song book. SOLUTION: The remote controller for karaoke is equipped with an operation input part composed of a touch panel for inputting characters as a search key, a display which displays the search keyword and a search result, and a search means of searching a musical piece based on a musical piece database for search; and search keys are composed of index search keys 240 of Japanese syllabary, and while input key buttons are arranged to the right and left, the upper and lower input key buttons are arranged slightly shifted from each other in the right/left directions.
