PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate the wheel load on a wheel, taking into consideration the factors affecting the frequency components of vibration, having a torsional resonance frequency included in wheel velocity data. SOLUTION: This wheel load estimating device 10 extracts vibration gain Gne of the torsional resonance frequency, from the wheel velocity data acquired based on the signal detected by a wheel velocity sensor, corrects the vibration gain Gne by various parameters (tyre internal pressure P, etc.), finds vibration gain Gneh, acquired when the various parameters are each in a definite referential state, and the wheel load on the wheel is estimated from the vibration gain Gneh.
