PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a faucet device, facilitating assembling of a sensor provided with a polarizing means installed in a basin made of stainless steel, and improving water proofing performance. SOLUTION: In this automatic faucet device for opening and closing an opening and closing valve part according to a signal of a detection means to spout from a spouting port, the detection means includes: a projection means for projecting infrared light toward a detected body; a light receiving means for receiving infrared light reflected by the detected body; and a holder storing the projection means and the light receiving means. The holder includes: a first polarizing means holding part holding a polarizing means in front of the projection means; and a second polarizing means holding part holding a polarizing means in front of the light receiving means to be different in polarizing direction from the first polarizing means holding means.
