PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables the hearing of the specified performance whenever it is desired to be heard along with the easier test of an image reproducer. SOLUTION: A performance control means in a performance managing unit (sub control board 400b) forcibly rewrites the values, set on a register (group of registers and control circuit 360) incorporated by a sound player 36 for generating sounds, from outside and reduces and outputs the sounds recorded in a sound ROM 35 from the rewritten values. For example, arbitrary phases of the sounds recorded in the sound ROM 35 are reproduced and outputted following at least one of the channel, volume and pan designated by the command.
