PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a plant body having modified morphology of a flower. SOLUTION: A chimeric gene of a gene encoding a transcription factor having a TCP domain and a polynucleotide encoding a functional peptide converting an optional transcription factor into a transcriptional repressor is transduced into a plant cell to produce a chimeric protein in which the transcription factor is fused to the functional peptide in the plant cell. The chimeric protein inhibits the expression of the gene targeted by the transcription factor to produce the plant body having the modified morphology of the flower. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
