Registers (33a-32d) retain pixel data to be interleaved. An operator (34) reads the pixel data from the registers, processes them in accordance with a program code, rewrites the processing results into the registers via a cache (38), and writes them into a memory. Program counters (PC0-PC3), which are of the number of the pixels to be interleaved, store the addresses of program commands for the pixels. The program counters are alternatively read by an instruction loader (76) and counted-up by an incrementer (74). In this way, the program commands for the pixels are alternatively loaded, interleaved on a pixel-to-pixel basis, and applied to the operator (34) and the like.
|
