[PROBLEMS] To provide a tool for opening/closing a cover capable of efficiently opening and closing the cover of a drum can by compact structure. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] This tool (1) for opening/closing the cover used for opening/closing the drum can in which two mouth parts with different diameters are formed in a top plate, a large cover and a small cover are threaded to the mouth parts, the large cover and the small cover comprise engagement members on the surface thereof, and at least either of the large cover and the small cover is covered by a protective cover. The tool comprises a bar-like member (10) having an insert part (12) at one end thereof and a flat plate-like opening/closing member (20) fitted to the other end of the bar-like member (10). The insert part (12) is formed so that the thickness thereof is gradually thinned toward the tip thereof, and comprises a slender tip face (12a).
