<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system that do not exhaust hydrogen outside in purging with it an anode of a fuel cell at start-up. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system provided with the fuel cell 1 generating power with hydrogen supplied to an FC anode and air supplied to an FC cathode, and a hydrogen cylinder 5 supplying hydrogen to the FC anode 7, circulating exhaust gas exhausted from the FC anode, is further provided with a polymer electrolyte film 12 transmitting only proton, an anode 10 turning hydrogen in the exhaust gas into proton, and a fuel oxidant separating device 2 equipped with a cathode turning the proton transmitting the polymer electrolyte film 12 back into hydrogen. It is further provided with a power supply means supplying power to the fuel oxidant separating device 2, which supplies hydrogen from the cathode 11 to the anode 7 and exhaust outside the fuel cell gas separated from hydrogen at the anode 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
