<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of an array substrate for a liquid crystal display, capable of enhancing reflection efficiency by forming a rugged reflection plate, utilizing BCB to be a general organic insulating substance or an silicon nitride to be an inorganic insulating substance and manufacturing a reflection-type or semi-transmission type liquid crystal display, utilizing the ordinary manufacturing line of the liquid crystal display, as it is. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the array substrate for the liquid crystal display includes a step of forming a switching element, constituted of a gate electrode and a semiconductor layer, and a source electrode and a drain electrode on a substrate; a step of forming a first insulating film on the substrate on which the switching element is formed; a step of forming a plurality of photoresist patterns on the first insulating film; a step of forming projecting and recessed parts by patterning the first insulating film utilizing the photoresist patterns; and a step of forming a reflection plate on the first insulating film on which the projecting and recessed parts are formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
