PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a history information processing technique, which manages history information and efficiently selects desired history information.

SOLUTION: The method includes steps of: executing at least one operation to information; storing history of the executed operation contents and link information to operation target information; hierarchically classifying histories of the recorded operation contents into items; hierarchically displaying the classified items as history tree; displaying the operation content corresponding to the item selected from the displayed history tree items; displaying an index of the operation target information corresponding to the item selected from the displayed history tree items; and executing desired processing for the information corresponding to the index selected from the displayed indexes.
