<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing 2,6-dihalogeno-4-arylpyridines. <P>SOLUTION: This production method comprises reacting 2,6-dihalogeno-4-borylpyridines of formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each H, alkyl or the like; and X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are each halogen) with aryl halides of formula (2) (wherein ring A is a 5- or 6-membered aromatic ring; Q and Y are C, S or the like; X<SP>3</SP>is Cl, Br or the like; and R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are each halogen, H, alkyl or the like) in a solvent in the presence of a base and a palladium catalyst to obtain 2,6-dihalogeno-4-arylpyridines of formula (3) [wherein Ar is an organic group of formula (4) (ring A, Q, Y, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are each the same as above); and X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are each the same as above]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
