PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TV (television) display device for enabling a user both to efficiently view a television image comfortably and to efficiently secure safe driving. SOLUTION: This television display device comprises a storing means 11 for sequentially obtaining a TV video image as a still image and storing the TV video image, a sensor means 13 for detecting a traveling situation, an update timing setting means 12 for setting update timing for sequentially updating and displaying the stored still image on the TV screen 18 in accordance with a sensor detection result, and an obtaining timing setting means 14 for setting obtaining timing for sequentially obtaining the still image in the storing means 11.
