PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit for an air conditioner capable of using a photo-semiconductor catalyst without restriction in its use place. SOLUTION: This indoor unit 2 for the air conditioner 1 for conditioning the air, comprises a suspended substance decomposition part and light emitting diodes 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66. The suspended substance decomposition part makes the suspended substance suspended in the air by applying the light of a specific wavelength area, be decomposed, deaden or inactivated.
