PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of receiving quickly and easily a data stored to a personal digital assistant. SOLUTION: The data transmitted from the personal digital assistant is received to be matched with the data stored in a map storage memory of the car navigation system or a CD-ROM, based on the received data. As a result of the matching, a map of the data is displayed if the corresponding data exist, and is stored as a new registration point in the map storage memory, or is set as a destination.
