PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe a condition on a server side from a storage device side for controlling processing priority according to the server condition. SOLUTION: This storage device is used by multiple servers 1A-1C. The server 1A and the server 1B constitute a failover cluster. A condition detection part 5 determines whether a phenomenon observed from the servers 1A and 1B is predetermined one or not (link down and the like). If the predetermined phenomenon is observed, the condition detection part 5 detects occurrence of failover. A priority control part 6 sets processing priority of the server causing the failover to be higher than ordinary one in response to detection of occurrence of the failover.
