PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fuel from intruding into a throttle opening sensor in a throttle device for an internal combustion engine mounted on a vehicle such as a four-wheeled buggy and a two-wheeled vehicle. SOLUTION: An idle gas chamber 7 is formed at the sensor mounting part 2a of a throttle body 2. A fuel discharge pipe 26 is connected to the bottom side of the idle gas chamber 7, and a fuel discharge pipe 26 is allowed to communicate with a negative pressure part such as a part on the upstream side of a throttle valve 5. An intake pipe 27 is connected to the top side of the idle gas chamber 7, and the intake pipe 27 is allowed to communicate with the downstream side of an air cleaner. Accordingly, when a fuel invades into the idle gas chamber 7 of the throttle body 2, the fuel can be forcibly discharged by utilizing a negative pressure. Also, the intake pipe 27 and the fuel discharge pipe 26 can be prevented from being clogged by dirt by suppressing a variation in air amount in idle rotating. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
