PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for carrying a body side panel, which apparatus can clamp the body side panels having various shapes according to the kinds of vehicles by means of one kind of clamping means, and hardly causes the damage and the trouble of a robot arm and a robot, and further can reduce a cost. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for clamping and carrying the body side panel 4 by means of the robot hand 3, the robot hand 3 is composed of two sill clamping portions 6 for clamping at least one portion of sill portions 4S, a rear fender clamping portion 7 for clamping a rear fender portion 4RF, and a rear roof rail clamping portion 8 for clamping the rear roof rail portion 4RR by urgingly pressing an abutting member 24 capable of ascending and descending. Further, the abutting member 24 has a wavy shape having a plurality of engaging grooves for inserting the lower end of the rear roof rail portion 4RR of the body side panel 4 having different shapes according to the kinds of vehicles thereinto.
