PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press die and a press capable of automatically feeding/discharging works to/from the press die while reliably holding the works even when the shape of the works is complicated and less consistent. SOLUTION: The press has a ram and a bolster which are advanced/retracted to/from each other, and the press die 11 including an upper die 13 and a lower die 15. One of the upper die 13 and the lower die 15 is attached to one of the ram and the bolster, and the other of the upper die 13 and the lower die 15 is attached to the other of the ram and the bolster, and a work is pressed between the upper die 13 and the lower die 15 facing each other. The press further has a holding body 19 to hold the work W, the holding body 19 holding the work W in advance is advanced between the upper die 13 and the lower die 15, and attached to the lower die 15, and the work is pressed while the holding body 19 is attached to the lower die 15.
