PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade coater with high reliability capable of maintaining predetermined coating performance regardless of size of web width by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The blade coater Bc is provided with a support beam deflection correction means 18 for correcting deflection in a longitudinal direction by the dead weight of a support beam 7 to a predetermined of amount of deflection at at least one position; and a control means 20 for calculating a rotation angle around center of gravity according to movement of the support beam 7, operating an amount of correction imparted to the support beam 7 such that deflection of the support beam 7 becomes a predetermined amount of deflection and transmitting a signal of the correction amount to the support beam deflection correction means 18.
