PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wheelchair which enables physically challenged persons in using their hands to perform all of the operations of the travelling and a reclining mechanism easily by themselves regardless of the skill of the operation and reflexes and never hinders the movements. SOLUTION: The electric wheelchair which drives each drive wheel disposed on both right and left sides of a chair part comprising a seat part, a backrest part, and an armrest part by rotational force of an electric motor is equipped with a switch and a controller which enable the operation of a power supply, movements of the wheelchair, adjustments of the direction of the travelling and a speed, the stopping of the wheelchair, adjustments of the tilt of a tilting or reclining mechanism to the front and the back, measurement of a distance from a bumper, and the cancellation of an impact sensor by one input control device.
