TREATING METHOD OF SODIUM CONTAINING HEAVY RESIDUAL AND FUEL OBTAINED IN THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to remove sodium from a sodium containing heavy fraction in the production method of styrene and propylene oxide put together. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution of an organic carboxylic acid is mixed with this heavy fraction at a temperature of 20-100°C, and an organic phase containing 0.5 wt.% or less of polymer-like solid is separated from an aqueous phase.
