FIELD: microwave and radar engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed microwave pulse power amplifier has isolating valves, first microwave signal amplifier stage built, for instance, around traveling wave tube, second microwave signal amplifier stage built around amplitron, and pulse transformer; anodes of traveling wave tube and amplitron, as well as one of leads of pulse transformer secondary winding are connected to common bus; amplitron cathode is connected to other lead of pulse transformer secondary winding, and traveling wave tube cathode is connected trough matching resistor to amplitron cathode. Connected in parallel with pulse transformer secondary winding is peak detector that has capacitor, diode, and resistor connected in parallel with diode; one of capacitor plates is connected to amplitron cathode and other one, to cathode of diode whose anode is connected to common bus; other capacitor is connected in parallel with matching resistor. High-voltage switch is connected in parallel with peak detector diode and resistor; collector of this switch is connected to diode cathode; gate electrode of switch is connected through driver and one of inputs of pulse-width modulated control circuit to diode cathode and other input of pulse-width modulated control circuit is connected to external trigger pulse supply. ^ EFFECT: eliminated dependence of microwave input signal phase distortions at microwave power amplifier output on changes in relative pulse duration. ^ 1 cl, 1 dwg |
