<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user identification system for identifying a user without separately or intentionally carrying a user identifying means and a charger/radio IC chip reader. <P>SOLUTION: This user authentication system 1 is configured to authenticate a user by using a portable telephone 2, and provided with the portable telephone 2 having a radio IC chip 6 in which user identification information to uniquely identify a user is recorded, a charger/radio IC chip reader 3 for, when the portable telephone 2 is connected, charging the portable telephone 2, and for reading the user identification information recorded in the radio IC chip 6 installed in the portable telephone 2 through radio communication and a client computer 4 for receiving user identification information read from the radio IC chip 6 to be transmitted from the charger/radio IC chip reader 3, and for authenticating the user based on the user identification information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
