<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer accepting sheet which is free from double feed or a paper jam due to static electricity, adhesion of a back layer with a ribbon at the time of back printing, or others, on the occasion of image recording by a thermal transfer printer. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal transfer accepting sheet has a sheetlike substrate, an accepting layer formed on the surface of the substrate and containing a dyeing resin as a main constituent and a back coating layer formed on the back side of the substrate.
