<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the amount of power generation, and to maintain a desired amount of power generation without depending on the opening/closing of an exhaust valve at the side of a hydrogen electrode or without providing the exhaust valve at the side of the hydrogen electrode in a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The control unit of the fuel cell 1 comprises an oxidizer gas supply means 7 for supplying oxidizer gas to a cathode through an oxidizer gas supply passage L1 in the fuel cell 1; a cathode side gas pressure detection means 11 for detecting gas pressure in the oxidizer gas supply passage L1 or the cathode; a hydrogen supply means 5 for supplying hydrogen to an anode through a hydrogen supply passage L3 in the fuel battery 1; a means 1 for determining target hydrogen partial pressure related to the pressure of hydrogen occupied in gas pressure in the hydrogen supply passage L3 or the anode; a hydrogen supply pressure calculation means 1 for calculating the hydrogen supply pressure of hydrogen supplied to the fuel cell 1 based on gas pressure detected by the cathode side gas pressure detection means and the target hydrogen partial pressure; and a hydrogen supply control means 13 for supplying hydrogen from the hydrogen supply means to the fuel cell 1 by the hydrogen supply pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
