<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device which has a driving means provided with a large moving distance, high resolution, and high response speed, which is compact and relatively inexpensive and has low power consumption, and which has compatibility with multiple kinds of optical disks. <P>SOLUTION: The information is recorded/reproduced in the state in which such spherical aberration is corrected by moving a lens L3 of a collimator optical system COL to the optical axis so that the divergent angle of the transmitted light flux is altered according to the optical disk to be used. Because the driving means has the relatively low cost and has a miniaturized structure, it contributes to the reduction of the cost and the miniaturization of the optical pickup device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
