PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for producing a recording image for a certificate photo whereby a load on a manufacturing process caused by making the imaging apparatus compatible with a plurality of countries or districts is relieved and a user can easily set a size of the certificate photo to be printed on print paper. SOLUTION: The imaging device for reducing images extracted from a photographed image and producing a recording image on which the extracted images are formed on one or a plurality of regions, is characterized in that a described language on an image displayed on a display section can be selected among a plurality of languages and the size of one or the plurality of regions is determined in response to a selected language. The setting of the described language by the user of the imaging device permits generation of the recording image formed with the extracted image having a proper size so that the extracted image can be printed on the print paper by the size of the certificate photo adopted by a country or a district to which the user belongs.
