PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a DC-DC converter on a low voltage lower than 1.0 V. SOLUTION: The DC-DC converter comprises a self-exciting oscillator employing a DMOS transistor 3 as an active element. Oscillation output from the self-exciting oscillator is transformed through a transformer 2 and rectified through a rectifying/smoothing circuit 8 to obtain a DC output voltage Vout.
